Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 11, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Best Answer Hub ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website. It is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). For broader information about how we handle your personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your computer or mobile device when you visit them. They help websites remember your preferences, understand how you use the site, and deliver relevant content. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage, and session storage.

How we use cookies

Best Answer Hub uses cookies in four distinct categories. Each category serves a specific purpose and requires a different level of consent:

Category Purpose Duration Consent Required
Essential Required for the site to function, including navigation, security, and cookie preference storage. Session to 1 year No — always active
Analytics Help us understand how visitors use our site, which pages are popular, and how we can improve content and performance. Up to 2 years Yes — opt-in under GDPR
Marketing Used to measure advertising performance and deliver relevant promotions. We do not currently run paid ads, but reserve this category for future use. Up to 1 year Yes — opt-in under GDPR
Affiliate Track clicks and conversions from our partner links so we earn commissions. These cookies do not contain personal information but create a unique identifier to attribute sales. 30–180 days (varies by vendor) Yes — opt-in under GDPR

Affiliate cookies specifically

When you click a partner link on our site, the vendor (such as HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or Hostinger) may place a cookie on your device. This cookie tells the vendor that you came from Best Answer Hub. If you make a purchase within the vendor's cookie duration window — typically 30 to 180 days — we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

These cookies do not contain personal information like your name or email address. They create a unique tracking identifier to attribute conversions. We only partner with vendors whose affiliate programs we have verified and trust. You can opt out of affiliate cookies at any time via the Manage Cookies link in our footer.

Under CCPA/CPRA, the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising through affiliate cookies triggers opt-out obligations. We honor browser-based opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal automatically. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we suppress non-essential cookies including affiliate tracking cookies without requiring any additional action from you.

Third-party cookies and vendors

We use services from trusted third parties that may set their own cookies. Our current vendors include:

  • Google Analytics — for aggregated traffic analysis (only fires with your Analytics consent).
  • Affiliate networks and direct vendor programs — for conversion tracking when you click partner links (only fires with your Affiliate consent).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Any data sharing is limited to what is necessary for the services described above. For a complete list of data recipients, see our Privacy Policy.

Data retention and cookie lifespan

We set cookie lifespans to the minimum necessary for each purpose. Essential cookies expire after 1 year or at the end of your session. Analytics cookies expire after 2 years. Affiliate cookies follow each vendor's program terms, typically 30–180 days. Marketing cookies expire after 1 year.

We review and refresh our cookie inventory quarterly. If you withdraw consent, the associated cookies are deleted or deactivated within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain records.

Managing your cookie preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking Manage Cookies in the footer of any page. Our preference center allows you to enable or disable Analytics, Marketing, and Affiliate cookies individually. Essential cookies cannot be disabled because they are required for the site to function.

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. If you previously accepted cookies and want to change your mind, simply open the preference center and toggle categories off. Your changes take effect immediately.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings:

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser. If you have GPC enabled, we automatically treat this as a valid opt-out request for the sale or sharing of personal information under CCPA/CPRA. When a GPC signal is detected, we suppress Analytics, Marketing, and Affiliate cookies and display a confirmation that your preference has been honored. No additional action is required from you.

Updates to this policy

We review and update this Cookie Policy at least once per year, or sooner when we add new vendors or change how we use cookies. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced via a banner on our site for 30 days.
