Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 24, 2026
TL;DR: We earn commissions from some links on this site. This never affects our recommendations, rankings, or editorial decisions. We only recommend products we genuinely believe are the best fit for each use case. Our free tools generate no direct revenue — they exist purely to help you. Every page containing affiliate links includes a clear disclosure near the top.
Our material connection
Under the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides, we must disclose any "material connection" between us and the brands we recommend. A material connection exists whenever a relationship could influence how our audience evaluates an endorsement. This includes affiliate commissions, free products, sponsorships, and other incentives.
Best Answer Hub maintains affiliate relationships with a range of software vendors, hosting providers, AI tool companies, and service business platforms. When you click an affiliate link on our site and make a purchase or sign up for a service, we may earn a commission. This commission comes from the vendor, not from you. The price you pay is never affected.
How affiliate links work
Affiliate links contain a unique tracking code that tells the vendor you came from Best Answer Hub. When you click the link, the vendor typically places a cookie on your browser with a specific duration (usually 30–180 days). If you make a purchase within that window, the vendor attributes the sale to us and pays a commission.
These commissions help us keep the site running, fund research time, and continue building free tools and honest guides. For more details about how cookies are used for affiliate tracking and how you can manage them, see our Cookie Policy.
Our editorial independence
We maintain strict editorial independence. Our recommendations are driven by what actually fits the use case — not by which vendor pays the highest commission. Our evaluation criteria include:
- Use-case fit — does the product actually solve the problem we're writing about?
- Public pricing and transparency — are costs clear and fair?
- Ease of use — can the target audience get value quickly?
- Feature depth — does it have the capabilities readers need?
- Real user feedback — what do actual customers say?
- Our own hands-on testing — where possible, we test products directly.
We do not accept payment for placement, paid reviews, ranking manipulation, or pay-for-play inclusion. We do not recommend a product solely because it offers a higher commission rate.
Free tools and revenue
All free tools on Best Answer Hub — including the AI Cost Calculator, SEO Checker, Speed Test, Invoice Generator, and others — are client-side utilities that generate no direct revenue. They run in your browser, require no signup, and store no data. We build and maintain them because they solve real problems for our visitors. Affiliate commissions from our recommendation and comparison pages fund the ongoing development of these free tools.
What this means for our recommendations
We only write recommendation guides for categories where multiple genuinely competitive products exist. If a category doesn't have at least a handful of strong options worth recommending, we don't publish a guide — there's nothing useful to say. This means every recommendation page on our site covers a real market with real alternatives, and our picks reflect the best options in that market, not the only ones we could find.
Clear and conspicuous disclosure
FTC rules require disclosure to be clear, conspicuous, and unavoidable. On Best Answer Hub, this means:
- Every article with affiliate links includes a disclosure statement near the top of the page, before any recommendations.
- Our Affiliate Disclosure appears prominently on every recommendation page that contains affiliate links.
- Disclosures use plain, direct language — no vague terms like "collab" or hidden abbreviations.
- Disclosures are visible on mobile without scrolling or clicking.
- Affiliate buttons and links are clearly labeled.
Typical disclosure language on our articles:
"We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page. This does not affect our recommendations. Learn more."
Affiliate partners and programs
We partner with a range of companies across business software, AI tools, hosting, and creator gear. Our partners include but are not limited to programs on:
- Impact
- CJ Affiliate
- ShareASale
- PartnerStack
- Amazon Associates
- Direct vendor partner programs (e.g., HubSpot, Hostinger, ActiveCampaign)
We verify each program's terms, cookie duration, and commission structure before including a product in our content. See our Privacy Policy for information about how affiliate data flows are handled.
FTC enforcement and penalties
The FTC has increased enforcement activity in 2025–2026. Penalties for inadequate disclosure can range from $5,000 to $43,792 per violation. The FTC holds both the publisher and the brand liable for non-disclosure. We take this responsibility seriously and have built disclosure into every page template.
What we don't do
- We do not write reviews for products we haven't researched.
- We do not inflate ratings or create fake reviews.
- We do not claim hands-on testing unless we actually tested the product.
- We do not accept payment to rank a product higher.
- We do not hide affiliate links behind URL shorteners without disclosure.
- We do not use AI-generated testimonials or synthetic endorsements.
